Among the first Babette Holland lamps to be based on "Metal Pottery" and the very first to be patterned, the Large Striped Val remains one of the most popular designs. Available in two sizes and two color ways, as well as elegant solids, this is truly a Babette icon. 100w bulb, in-line switch.
The material is aluminum and it's handspun - think of throwing a pot, sideways, and the motion of spinning resembles a slow rocking dance. Our shapes are so complex they can only be made one piece at a time, by hand, and by a master spinner.
Color Description Raku stripes are red, orange and gold. Bronze stripes are deep brown, golden brown and gold. Olive stripes are deep olive, light olive and gold. Charcoal stripes are dark charcoal, light charcoal and silver.
Babette Holland Design is a husband-wife partnership in design and manufacturing. Tony Brown, Babette Holland and BHD have been in business for eleven years. Their two dogs, Bella and Nanoo, (the President and Vice-President of BHD) all go to work together every day to make beautiful, functional American-made products.
