The Serta iComfort Insight mattress, the entry level model of the iComfort collection, is a firm mattress with a bit of contouring. This mattress is good for back and stomach sleepers who want the performance of memory foam without the heat retention found in other brands.

While the Insight may not have all the extra padding layers found in other iComfort mattresses it does contain the most important part, CoolAction Gel Memory Foam. The Insight has CoolAction Gel Memory Foam right at the top so there is no barrier between you and the cool sleep surface iComfort is known for. This design creates a firm, yet cooler mattress that conforms well to the lower back and provides great lower back support.

Overall the iComfort Insight is a mattress for the money. If you like a firm comfort with a bit of padding and tend to sleep warm, the Insight is a great choice.

This review is for the iComfort Insight Mattress (Queen Size) from Serta. First I would like to dispel some things being said in other reviews you might have read about this mattress. Like me you have probably did some research about the iComfort mattresses on the internet and like me came across many customer reviews, some of which gave some negative comments/complaints. Complaints about a foul odor (out-gassing) being released from the mattress are absolutely NOT true. The only odor is an odor similar to a new sneaker smell and it is very very mild at best. Another complaint I frequently and repeatedly came across was that the mattress was not firm or supportive. Again this is NOT the case. This mattress is extremely firm and when you lay down the mattress feels like it begins to mold to your body, giving you exactly the right level of support in exactly the right places. If you like firm mattresses with just the right amount of comfort, this is the mattress for you.

Every time I slept in another bed, I realized that my mattress had to go. I did a lot of comparison shopping both on the internet and in stores. I never thought I could afford a memory foam mattress but this was comprable to the other mattresses I looked at. When I woke up the first morning after it was delivered, I couldn't believe the difference. There were no aches and pains. I am so pleased with this mattress and don't know why I didn't purchase a long time ago.

So far my wife and I are pleased, but it's still way to early to give a 100% approval. Haven't tried the whoopie option yet, but by weekends end I will be able to give testimony on how the bed does in that dept. Hopefully this bed will not start to sag in 2 or 3 years, will keep it turned & hope for the best. How long does that stinky smell linger?

Our old mattress had to go, we were waking up with backaches and shoulders/neck hurting every morning. We tried many mattresses and were not considering a memory foam at all because they make you so hot when sleeping. The salesman suggested that we just try the Icomfort because of the cooling gel. The first was too soft, then we settled in on the Insight. It was love at first laying on it. No more backaches. We are both sleeping better than we have in years. I have 7 herniated disks in my back and neck and this honestly has been the best thing for me. We love our bed!!!

My wife and I tried the tempur pedic brand as well as other mattresses but the cooling gel is what we like about the insight besides the fact it was supportive and very soft.

Although this my first memory foam bed the insight by sorta is what the doctor ordered. It funny how you see these commercials "I slept through the night" " woke up back pain free" ect. ect. Well I have to admit it all true. The insight is a firm bed so it was hard to convince my gal to try it she is still not convinced. For me its great and if I keep waking up back pain free there's nobody taking this bed from me. Thank-you sorta. Oh there is a distinctive oder to these mattresses.

ANSWER: I've been a side sleeper most of my life and am now 71. We have had the icomfort for over 6 months now and I LOVE it. I have had some of the best nights sleep that I have ever had. It conforms perfectly to your shoulders, hips, and legs. I would give a ten+ rating.
