The difference is that the Brighten uses a 6 inch polyeurathane core instead of the full latex core. However, the Brighten does offer 5 inches of Talalay latex on top of the core to help with durability and support.
Latex in general is a great product. It is naturally hypo-allergenic and anti-microbial. It also helps to relieve pressure points which cause you to toss and turn at night. In essence, it will help you get a full nights sleep. One last thing about the latex is that it is naturally resistant to dust mites which is a big bonus with a lot of health risks today.
The Brighten is a 7.5 on our comfort scale which makes it a soft mattress without a super soft feel. If you are looking to get into a latex type of mattress without spending a whole lot of money, this would probably be the mattress for you.
