ABOUT THIS MATTRESS Expert Review By JasonThe Simmons Beautyrest Harare Plush Super Pillowtop is a wonderful mattress at a very popular comfort range. This model has been given a comfort scale rating of a 6.5 which is a very popular range on the scale. The pillowtop adds several layers of foam to give a nice soft comfortable feel, without being overly soft. I would recommend this mattress for adults looking for a great support system, and liking some cushion on top.
This model is part of the Exceptionale collection which is the top of the line for Simmons Beautyrest. The Exceptionale models have several upgrades over the other collections. This system uses the coil on coil innerspring which uses two 4 inch coils on top of each other. The edge support is a 360 degree 3 inch foam encasement to give wonderful roll-off protection and provide an excellent seating edge.
This model also provides a layer of visco memory foam to give extra relief for those annoying pressure points. The quilt is made of natural stretch knit fibers to make for a resilient comfortable cover that will protect against rips. The Warranty is a ten year non-prorated one that covers against sags and manufacture defects. Rating:  Summary: Super Pillow Top Toooo Soft Reviewed by: Bill C (L.A. (Lower Alabama)) Review: Wife and I slept on a Solid Latex mattress for 20 yrs, and liked firm but give of Latex. My wife likes soft and I like firm but not hard. We selected Simmons Harare super pillow top with comfort level of 6.5 as a compromise. Hips and shoulders sink about 2' into pillow, but knees and neck stay level, so I feel like I'm in a bowl. Just too much soft padding for me--and also my wife. Will trade out to a Harare Visco Plush @ comfort index of 4, and hope it is firmer, but not too firm for wife. |

It is super soft and comfortable; however, after you get up in the morning there are permanent indentations ~ this started within the first few weeks of sleeping on the mattress. My husband and I are 145 and 130 lbs. so there is no reason that there should be indentations when we aren't heavy people. I do not recommend purchasing this mattress. |

I have Rheumatoid arthritis and he has leg and knee issues. We have had difficulty sleeping for many years and now we sleep most of the night through. We don't feel pressure or aches/pains in the morning - especially as I prefer to lay on my side! In fact, we are probably going to purchase this same mattress again for our guest bedroom!! |
| Rating: Summary: Great Mattress for a few months Reviewed by: Jerry Ray (Jackson TN)Review: We purchased the mattress after extensive research that took over a year. The mattress changed completely after about 3 months and continued to deterioriate. The mattress was initially firm but plush (exactly what we wanted) however, we started to see indentions or sagging where we slept which was very noticeable in the bedding and the mattress never returned to the normal position. The mattress continued to soften to the point both of us had back pain as the mattress sagged more and more. Simmons sent an independent inspector that threw a string over the mattress, rolled over with his shoes and clothes on, pushed on the mattress and had me sign he was inspected it then Simmons sent a letter refusing to adjust the mattress. No more Simmoms for us. |

| Rating: Summary: Poor customer service Reviewed by: anonymous (MN)Review: Our mattress has large indentations that started within a month of receiving the mattress. We contacted US Mattress and received no help. We were told to contact Simmons. We have been trying to get a response from them since Oct. (It is now April). We finally got a response this week and they will be sending an inspector. I'm guessing the same thing may happen as another person wrote about above. I am not impressed with the customer service of US Mattress or Simmons...will never buy from either again. |
