It is rated a six on our comfort scale and is a great choice for a new mattress.
The Menasha Plush is a great mattress. You get the highest level of motion separation along with the durability of 3 inches of latex. By utilizing the Simmons independently pocketed coil on coil system you get the best that Simmons offers in a plush mattress. Not only does latex help to reduce pressure points it also helps the mattress hold it comfort life longer. The Menasha Plush has a comfort scale rating of a 6 which in my opinion is a true plush feel. It's a little on the softer side but by no means too soft.
I would recommend this mattress to anyone looking for a good plush mattress. If you are looking into getting the best plush you can get by Simmons this is the mattress for you. The Menasha plush should last about 15 years which is well worth the price. Also with how well Simmons separate motion you will get a better quality of sleep because you will not be disturbed by your partner moving in bed next to you. I opted for a medium comfort scale when replacing my twenty-two year old mattress,on the theory that the older I get the more support I need. Then I added a bunch of latex on top to cushion the old body! The only thing I goofed up on was not to wait until this sale (5/4/08). I bought on 4/12/08. Who knew? It would be nice if Simmons would adjust for a period of ninety days. Just a suggestion. |

My wife and I are beginning to feel more comfortable with the mattress feel now. You can see and feel the quality that goes into the materials and the well construction of this mattress, however, I would have expected a little more of a softer feel with a comfort level rating of a 6 on this mattress. I think it is a bit firm and would rate this a 4.5 on the comfort side. Overall we are quite satisfied. |
