The Lydia Manor Medium mattress has a firmer feeling and is rated a 3 on our 10 point Comfort Scale (a 1 is hard, 10 is softest.) At this rating the bed will feel firm but not too hard, it definitely is a comfort that you'd want out of a mattress if you prefer a firmer bed. We've pressure-tested the Lydia Manor Medium mattress to learn if the bed provides good support, pressure relief, and comfort for large, medium, and petite-sized people. Using models in each size group we had them lie on their side and back sleeping positions on this mattress for a clear representation of how well this mattress will perform for most people. This Lydia Manor exhibited outstanding back support and excellent pressure-relieving abilities. The need for proper spinal alignment cannot be understated, it can be the difference between a great night's sleep and having to see a doctor for back pain. Your peak pressure points, the hips, and shoulders, need relief from pressure so that you can stay asleep throughout the night. Too much pressure on these joints will cause a lot of tossing and turning throughout the night making for a terrible night's sleep.

The Lydia Manor Medium Mattress has a Medium-Firm comfort feeling that will appeal to just about anybody who prefers a firmer mattress. This bed is part of the Beautyrest Silver collection of beds by Simmons, their mid-range collections of good quality beds.
There are only two layers of high-quality foams, the AirFeel Foam and the Dynamic Response Memory Foam. These combine with various types of comfort foam for a decent comfort that relieves pressure and supports your back quite well. Our pressure test results confirm this for most people though it's worth noting that this bed is not recommended for people with larger-sized who sleep on their sides.
While this bed did perform quite well during our pressure-testing I would only really recommend it to someone who prefers a bit firmer bed. The foams used in the pillowtop portion of the bed are of a firmer feel and would not appeal to everyone.
