Any time you spend money on a new mattress purchase, you want something that’s made for the long haul. The Saatva is made from legendarily high-quality materials, meaning it can hold up any body type for a good long while. We give it a perfect score in durability. The Casper doesn’t wow us quite as much, but we give it an 8 out of 10 in durability, which is nothing to scoff at.
How firm do you like your mattress? The Casper offers medium-firmness, which means it works well for back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and side sleepers alike. Its high responsiveness score also makes it perfect for combination sleepers. With Saatva, you’ll get to pick between three firmness settings.

There’s much to admire about the Casper mattress, one of the top foam beds on the market. While it’s not as flashy as some of its competitors, the truth is that it’s a really good universal mattress, meaning it provides comfort and support for pretty much all kinds of sleepers. It’s as responsive as can be, offers great pressure relief, and sleeps cooler than your average memory foam mattress. It’s a product we can recommend with only the smallest caveats.
The Saatva luxury mattress is fancier and pricier than the Casper. For budget shoppers or those who prefer traditional memory foam, it’s probably a non-starter. But if you want to invest in hotel-quality comfort and long-lasting durability, Saatva is close to as good as it gets.
