With a comfort scale rating of 4, this mattress is pretty close to the middle of our comfort scale. It offers a firm feel that is not too firm allowing it to provide a good amount of pressure relief. The euro top offers an initial soft feel with layers of durable but flexible SealyCool Air Gel Foam and SealyCool Gel Foam for body contouring and pressure relief.

Sealy Response Encased Coil is an individually wrapped coil system which allows for the coils to respond separately from each other resulting in a more targeted support. This also reduced motion transfer across the bed allowing for a sounder sleep beside a partner. Also included, is a layer of SealyCool Gel Foam along the center third of the mattress. This support hits in our back and mid section where we tend to need the most support.

The SealyCool layer of gel foam provides a breathable layer that allows air to flow through the bed, reducing the buildup of heat so you can sleep comfortably cool.

The Santa Paula features StableEdge Pro which is a durable coil edge that surrounds the mattress to prevent sagging over time. This edge support also allows for more usable sleeping surface as you can sleep right up to the edge of the bed and still feel supported.

The medium firm support is a great option for all sleeping positions who prefer a sleeping surface with a bit of give but an overall firmer support.
