If you like sleeping on a mattress that feels exceptionally dense, the Queen size Sealy Posturepedic Response Performance Cooper Mountain IV Firm Mattress is an excellent choice that is suitable for couples. With a rating of 1.5 on our Comfort Scale, it feels much like sleeping on a carpeted floor. If you like this sort of comfort, then you'll also appreciate the fact that the generation IV model features improvements to the quilt, foam quality, edge support, and coil count compared to the previous generation. In other words, the entire mattress has been greatly improved upon.
Starting at the top, one of the first noticeable upgrades is the Comfort Loft Cover with MoistureProtect. This premium quilt is soft to the touch, and it features a performance enhancement that is uniquely designed to draw moisture away from your body to help you stay cool while you sleep. Each of the comfort components are CertiPUR-US certified, including a layer of Sealy Cushion Air Foam that provides a bit of contouring and improved airflow. The Cooper Mountain IV contains Posturepedic Technology in the form of SealyCool Gel Memory Foam located in the center third, which is implemented to encourage prolonged durability and supply support to the lower back. For a dense and firm feel, a thick layer of Sealy Support Foam is also included. With an impressive coil density of over 200 more coils than the generation III model, this coil system feels super supportive. Furthermore, the individually wrapped system design results in better contouring than tied coil systems with minimized motion transfer to promote undisturbed sleep for couples. The DuraFlex Edge is one of the strongest edge systems available today. It not only makes it possible to sleep comfortably from edge to edge, but it feels very supportive at the same time.
In summary, the Queen size Sealy Posturepedic Response Performance Cooper Mountain IV Firm Mattress is an excellent choice if you prefer a firm comfort level. This model is very solid and firm, and it is designed to last over the next 10 years. The updates from the already great generation III model are certainly appreciated and welcome.
