The Luminous Sleep is the top-end of Serta's new Perfect Sleeper collection, which provides 40% more pressure relief on average over the previous collections - according to Serta. This bed has three different layers of newly patented memory foams, which bring pressure-relieving performance.
Comfort Scale Rating
The Luminous Sleep comes in four different comfort levels: medium, medium pillow top, plush, and plush pillow top. The medium pillow top is rated a 3 on our Comfort Scale, so it'll feel firm but still have some cushioning. It's the firmest option.
The plush and medium models are rated a 5 on our comfort scale, so they could be described as neutral or mid-range. They provide some pushback on your areas that need support while also feeling soft enough to give some contouring and conforming.
The plush pillow top is very soft, with a rating of 10. You'll sink into this mattress and it'll feel cloud-like. There's a pretty decent range of feels for those interested in the Luminous Sleep.

Conclusion
The Luminous Sleep is the perfect bed for those who are focused on pressure relief and cooling. The 1000 edition custom support coil system is topped off with three layers of memory foams as well as a few other comfort foams. The sheer amount of foam on this bed is why it's the most expensive in the collection, as well as the higher-end coil system.
With four comfort level options, you can get the exact feel you want. The medium pillow top is quite firm at a 3, but the plush pillow top is very soft at a 10. The medium and plush both have a neutral feel coming in at a 5 on our comfort scale.
I'd recommend the Luminous Sleep mattress if you're looking for a high-end cooling hybrid, with a focus on pressure relief.
