We've pressure tested the iComfort CF3000 Plush mattress with small, average, and large body size people on their sides and on their back sleeping positions to see what kind of support and comfort you can expect. (Learn how we test.)
This mattress performed exceptionally well during our pressure testing giving us good test results for all sleep position/body size combos and even earning a 'recommended' score for all the back sleepers. The pressure relief you can expect on your peak pressure points (hips and shoulders) is very good, there are minimal spots with excess pressure. Too much pressure on your joints will cause you to toss and turn at night, disturbing your sleep.
This bed provides you with outstanding back support for proper spinal alignment, which is also necessary for a good night's sleep. If your spine is out of alignment while you sleep, you can develop stiffness, soreness, discomfort, and pain. which leads to a very unhappy you the next day. This mattress supports all the curves of your body very well so you should expect no troubles with spine alignment regardless of your body size or preferred sleep position.

This mattress is the absolute softest of the soft in the iComfort collection amongst the 'CF' models. It's so soft that some people might find the comfort to be too plush depending on your comfort preferences. If you're thinking about purchasing this model for your new mattress you need to be aware of just how soft it is, think of it like sleeping on a cloud. For those who desire this super-soft, plush, comfy feel then this mattress would be a great fit for you. If you do not like the plush feel, try the medium option.
While the bed's comfort level is something to consider, this mattress does come with several layers of cooling materials. The three snowflakes sewn into the cover at the foot of the bed represent the three cooling layers. Serta has designed this model to be cool throughout the night making it one of the best mattresses for hot sleepers. EverCool® Fuze Gel Foam, the Max Cool Cover, and Carbon Fiber infused memory foam all work to draw heat away from your body.
The comfort materials also earned this mattress excellent pressure testing scores, earning it a 'recommended' score for all back sleepers. It also performed fairly well for side sleepers, though it only earned them 'good' scores. What this means is that the mattress will give most people exceptional back support for people with back pain for proper spinal alignment and good pressure point relief.
This mattress is a great choice for someone who wants a super soft bed. As an all-foam mattress with multiple layers of cooling technology, this model is hard to beat. The CF3000 Plush might be a little too spendy for some people. There are other options in the iComfort collection of 'CF' models that are a bit more affordable if that's the case. However, if the cost is no concern, then this model or one of the CF4000s might suit you well.
