An adjustable base gives you the ability to improve the comfort you normally get from your mattress. You may sleep decently on your mattress but an adjustable base can help you achieve greater comfort. Many people with medical ailments find adding a power base to their bed makes getting out of bed easier. Some people with ailments like sleep apnea, arthritis, and acid reflux have reported a drop in the frequency of their symptoms. Loud snorers can have their heads raised to improve breathing. Acid reflux sufferers can also raise their heads keeping their stomach contents in place. And those who suffer from joint and back pain can use an adjustable base to get into a position that lessens their pain.
The Motion Air base might be the entry-level model by Serta but it still offers the benefits that all power bases do.
How to Set Up Your New Serta Motion Air Adjustable Base:
The Wireless Remote for the Serta Motion Air:
The Serta Motion Air Adjustable Base has a limited 10-year limited warranty.
Since introducing the Perfect Sleeper® mattress to the world in 1931, Serta has been the name behind many “firsts” in the industry and gained a reputation for being a pioneer in comfort. Serta Simmons Bedding, LLC (“SSB”) owns and manages three of the largest, most influential bedding brands in the mattress industry—National Bedding Company L.L.C. (the largest licensee and majority shareholder of Serta, Inc.), Simmons Bedding Company, LLC, and Tuft & Needle, LLC. SSB is based in Atlanta and operates 36 manufacturing plants in the United States, five in Canada, and one in Puerto Rico.
If you're a first-time buyer of an adjustable base the Motion Air is a great choice as your first adjustable base. You save a significant amount of money when compared to higher-end models. This is nice because you're not committing a large amount of money to something that you might not like in the end.
The Serta Motion Air offers head and foot lift functionality, like most other bases. Having a wireless remote for a base at the low end of the collection is rare, usually, they come hard-wired to the base so that's another nice feature. The ultra-slim profile is nice aesthetically, you can pretty much "hide" the base from view. Another interesting feature is the 10-year Limited Warranty, most bases similar to this model's construction only offer a one-year warranty. That fact should tell you that the manufacturer stands behind this base for its ability to serve your sleep needs for a long time to come.
My suggestion is that you either buy this base as one to try out adjustable base features or to save money over the higher-end models. If you are a seasoned adjustable base user/owner then you'll know that you can get more premium features in another model. That said, this adjustable base is far more impressive for an entry-level model than others that I've seen in the past.
