Comfort Scale Rating
The Adda Medium Firm mattress has a medium-firm feeling that we rate a 4 on our 10-point Comfort Scale (a 1 is hard, 10 is softest.) This medium-firm feeling appeals to most people who prefer a firmer comfort, or to those looking for something that is both a bit firm but also has some plush comfort. On the other hand, if you feel that you'd prefer a bed that is either very firm or super soft then you'll want to consider a different mattress.

Using models with petite, average, and larger-sized bodies we've pressure-tested the Adda Medium Firm mattress to learn if the bed provides good support, pressure relief, and comfort. We had our models lie on their side and back sleeping positions on this mattress for a clear representation of how well this mattress will perform for most people. (Learn how we test.)
This bed exhibited excellent pressure relief and outstanding back support abilities during pressure testing. In fact, the bed performed so well that it earned all six possible 'recommended' scores as you can see below. What you're seeing is large areas of green and light blue which means that these parts of the body are getting great pressure relief and weight distribution on the mattress. The minimal yellow and red areas that you see on these images mean there's an increase in pressure, or too much pressure respectively. The small areas of those colors that you do see were not enough to deem the mattress uncomfortable.
Pressure relief in a mattress is the most basic function of a mattress, to provide your body with a comfortable surface to sleep on. A bed needs to be able to relieve pressure and distribute your weight so that you sleep comfortably and undisturbed throughout the night. Too much pressure on your shoulders and hips would cause you to toss and turn throughout for an awful night of waking up repeatedly to try and get comfortable again. The same is true of the back support that a mattress offers, proper spinal alignment is the key to getting the sleep that leaves you feeling rested and recharged in the morning. A back that is improperly supported can cause back spasms, lower back pain, head and neck tension, headaches, and overall weariness. Fortunately for everyone, this mattress performed so well during testing that you don't have to worry about those types of problems.

The Adda Medium Firm Mattress represents one of the best beds in the Beautyrest Silver collection in terms of value and features. Its medium-firm feeling will appeal to a wide range of people and it's a Simmons brand mattress so you know you can trust its construction to support you for many years to come.
While this bed is not packed with premium materials like the higher-end models in this collection, it still has a lot to offer. You do get Gel Memory Foam in the center third portion of the bed for superb back support, our pressure testing results confirm this fact. Another nice feature is the 900 Series Pocketed Coil System which conforms to your body's unique curves while also providing motion isolations from your sleep partner which means fewer disturbances. The pressure testing results also confirm that this mattress has excellent pressure-relieving capabilities and outstanding back support.
This very good value for a bed with these features, particularly one with the Simon brand name. I have personally slept on one of the mattresses for an extended amount of time and can tell you that its comfort and support are phenomenal. This bed earns my full recommendation for anyone and everyone!
