The BRS900 Medium mattress has a medium-firm feel; we rate it a 3 on our 10-point Comfort Scale (a 1 is hard, 10 is softest.) Pressure Test Results

We have pressure tested the BRS900 Medium mattress with petite, average, and large body size models. We had them lie down on their side and back sleeping positions to see what kind of support and comfort you can expect. (Learn how we test.)

As you can see below our testing analysis has resulted in this being rated highly for its really good support and great pressure relieving abilities. Very few yellow or red areas indicate that the BRS900 Medium did a good job of relieving pressure points. Too much pressure on your shoulders and hips can cause you to toss and turn while you sleep because of the discomfort.

Overall this mattress performed well during our testing as you can see by the widespread areas of blue and green in the images below. The back sleepers for average-sized and petite-sized people didn't get that coveted 'Recommended' rating because of a little bit too much pressure on the shoulders but it's still fairly good support overall. The bed can still be comfortable for you regardless of this rating because these were just our models after all.

Pressure relief is especially important for a decent night's sleep. Uncomfortable pressure points due to a lack of pressure-relieving capabilities in the mattress will lead to you trying to reposition yourself for better comfort thereby ruining a quality night's sleep. Support of your lower back is just as essential for a good night's sleep. Poor support can lead to back discomfort or even pain which makes for a bad mood the whole day. Conclusion

We liked the BRS900 Medium mattress because the medium-feeling mattress will appeal to many people. Our pressure test results came back with pretty good results showing that this mattress is very supportive and gives the body decent pressure relief as well. The bed earned four recommendations out of six possible for the various body types and sleep positions. That's not to say that the bed failed in any way, the scores still confirm that this bed is at the very least 'good' in regards to support and pressure relief.

This is a well-priced mattress from a great brand. It has decent features and a medium feel so you can expect to make a safe pick with this bed. An example is the "Dual Cool Technology" on the top that helps control heat, and the individually pocketed coils. Four total layers of foams combine with the pocketed coils to give you excellent pressure relief and outstanding back support.

It only has some gel memory foam in it, but for the price, it's pretty well equipped. The 10-year warranty is good to have so you can rest assured you can get a long life from the mattress without defects. With an excellent showing in our pressure testing phase of this review, the lower price point, and several layers of quality materials I absolutely can recommend this bed to anyone who needs a medium-firm feeling mattress at a decent price from an industry-leading company.
