A video highlighting the features of the Rize Contemporary Adjustable Foundation:
The Rize Contemporary Base includes an adjustable lumbar section that runs across the entire base. This supports the back in a more natural position which eases lower back pain and improved the bed's comfort when you're in a sitting position.
Get better support while you relax in bed by putting the base into its incline position. Touch just one button on the wireless remote to adjust the bed into a position that supports your back and legs for sitting up in bed in a very comfortable way. This feature is particularly good for people who have medical conditions that require them to spend extended amounts of time in bed.
The root cause for most people that snore is a partially blocked airway. The one-button control on the remote will lift the head portion of the base to an angle that eases breathing and helps cut down on excessive snoring for a quieter night's sleep. Sleep apnea sufferers will find this feature very useful for reducing the frequency of their symptoms. Let's be serious though, the sleep partners who suffer through our snoring are the real winners with this feature!
In keeping up with the ever-changing world of electronics and smart home-enabled devices Simmons has added a USB port on each side of the base for your convenience. This will help reduce the use of wall outlets in your bedroom that are being used to charge smartphones, tablets, and other smart home devices. Besides, very few people don't use their phones in bed before sleeping most nights anyway so having the charging cord readily accessible is a great bonus.
This is a sitting position first invented by NASA to help astronauts withstand the immense pressures experienced during take-offs. This sitting position elevates your legs higher than your chest which allows blood to flow back to the heart. This helps reduce stress and fatigue and simulates a weightless feeling for optimum comfort while sitting in bed.
Adding a power base to your bed can be very beneficial to your health and comfort. It can enhance your sleeping experience in many areas like comfort and health. One of the best benefits of using an adjustable base is for people with medical conditions. Those that cannot get out of bed for long or those that cannot lay flat while they sleep will benefit greatly from a power base. Getting the blood flowing by putting yourself in the zero-gravity position is an excellent feature for these people.
Those who suffer from other medical conditions can also benefit from using an adjustable foundation as well. Acid reflux sufferers know that having the upper torso lifted to a higher angle while they sleep can reduce symptoms. We've already mentioned the heavy snorers benefiting from a clear airway earlier in this review. One group that is close to my heart is arthritis patients. My Mother suffers from Osteo-Arthritis and I bought her an adjustable base to help her with the pain associated with her condition. She finds it much easier to sleep when she can sleep in a non-traditional position with raised legs.
Adjustable foundations benefit more people than just those who have medical conditions. A base like this enhances the comfort that you already get from your mattress. The positions listed are beneficial to all people. With the right mattress, you can get luxurious sleep that's better than the sleep you've had with a flat mattress. The massage feature, under-bed lighting, and continuous motion mode are premium luxury features. They're meant to make being a bed an experience rather than just a necessity. Power bases are the latest luxury feature to make your life more comfortable.

The Manuta Rize Contemporary III Adjustable Base comes with a limited 5-year warranty.
Mantua Manufacturing Company has been a family-owned and operated business since 1952. They named themselves after the small town in Ohio where they first got started, Mantua. An interesting fact about their manufacturing process is that they use recycled railroad steel in many of their bed frames. This is not only environmentally friendly but also ensures that their frames are much more sturdy than most others. They are so confident of their durability that they offer a lifetime warranty. If one of their frames breaks from defective material or workmanship they'll replace it at no cost.
I really like the Mantua Rize Contemporary Adjustable Base. The modular design is unique and it makes the normal functions of a power base much more smooth. The one thing that I'm not a fan of is the hefty price tag. You do get far more features than any other power base currently on the market though. Some of those features are unique to the Rize Contemporary and aren't available in another base.
My recommendation for this adjustable base comes with a condition. I do recommend this base to everyone, its features and benefits cannot be beaten. The price, however, is not for everybody. This is a really expensive premium luxury adjustable foundation.
If you can absorb the cost of a Mantua Rize Power Foundation then you won't regret your purchase. It's worth every penny!
