Sealy launched its new Kelburn II Hybrid mattress in 2018. We tested all of Sealy’s Hybrid mattresses for a detailed and comprehensive review and found it to be a fantastic mattress. Read on for our detailed assessment of the Kelburn 2’s pros and cons.
Comfort Scale Rating
The Sealy Hybrid Kelburn mattress is a nice, medium feeling mattress and we rate it 5.5 on our 10 point Comfort Scale (a 1 is hard, 10 is softest.) This level of comfort is pretty good for most folks.

Pros & Cons
Pressure Test Results
We pressure tested the Kelburn mattress with small/petite, average and big/large body size people on their sides and on their back sleeping positions to measure the support and comfort.
The Kelburn tested well especially for side sleepers where we rated those sleeper positions a very solid ‘Recommend’. The mattress provided sufficient contouring support which is important to minimize pressure points. Pressure points cause you to become uncomfortable and that makes you toss and turn preventing a good night’s sleep. While the mattress tested very well for side sleeper, it did not rate as highly on back positions –we still rate those positions ‘Good’.
This mattress lives up to your expectations for a hybrid mattress where the top layer of memory foam provides great contouring and the innersprings provide the support.

The Sealy Kelburn 2 Hybrid mattress comes with a 10 year warranty for factory defects.
The Sealy Kelburn 2 Hybrid mattress tested well. We ‘Recommend’ the mattress for side sleepers and rate it ‘Good’ for back sleepers, so we say this bed is a good choice for everybody who likes a medium comfort bed.
The Kelburn 2 mattress is in the Sealy “Performance Line” collection, just below the “Premium” line. The Kelburn 2 has most of what’s in the more expensive Premium models except for the cool cover. This model has 2 layers of foam compared to the Copper 2 models (which have an added layer of Sealy Comfort Sense Foam.) And it’s also $300 less expensive. So in our opinion, it tests very well and offers a great value in the Sealy Hybrid line of mattresses.
